Eight seasons and almost 100 episodes of a television show where the main character is a serial killer. Laughter, sadness, goodbyes… Who thought these things could all possibly go together? We did. The fans did!
It wasn’t until April of this year that it was officially announced – Dexter would come to a close after it’s eighth season. Then, as has been the case over the last few years, Showtime announced that they would be returning to SDCC 2013 with Dexter in a farewell performance with the cast and creators.
The Dexter panel for Comic Con 2013 wasn’t just about the final season of the show – it was a mini-reunion of sorts, with past characters (well the actors that portrayed them) returning to say goodbye. Rita Bennett (Julie Benz) and James Doakes (Erik King) sat in on the panel with show regulars Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, David Zayas, Desmond Harrington, Aimee Garcia & Lauren Velez.
