Emerald City Comicon 2017 – Pre-Con

For the last two years, the Nerd Fu crew has been lucky enough to attend Emerald City Comicon (ECCC) in Seattle. This year, things will be a bit different, but Nerd Fu will still have a presence at ECCC. As we have in the past, our goal will be to bring you news from the convention and the events surrounding it.

The Nerd Fu crew will be split up this time, with Sully at the convention & Steve manning the dojo back home. Never fear – We’ll also have some of the FUTang Clan (our loyal friends & followers) at the con. You can follow along all week long, starting Thursday, March 2nd for updates from Seattle and #ECCC.

 

ABOUT EMERALD CITY COMICON

ECCC is the premier comic book and pop culture convention in the Pacific Northwest! Held at Washington State Convention Center in Seattle Washington, the convention will run Thursday, March 2nd thru Sunday, March 5th.

According to data collected in 2013, ECCC is the 3rd largest convention in the United States (just behind SDCC and New York Comic Con).

 

WHAT/WHO WILL WE SEE AT ECCC?

For a few months now, ECCC has been sharing announcements about what/who we’ll see at the convention. It looks like another great lineup this year and we can’t wait to see:

ECCC Exclusives & Swag – What con would be complete without Exclusives & Swag? There are some great exclusives at ECCC this year, including:

• Funko Exclusives – Funko has a ton of new exclusives (wave 1 & wave 2), including some very limited print runs. Lucky for you, many of them will be shared exclusives, meaning you can get them at other retailers. The full list of shared exclusives will be officially revealed on Thursday, March 2nd. Cosplay – ECCC always has some of the best cosplay in the country and will once again host the Western Championships of Cosplay. Sully will be out with camera in hand to capture some of the amazing cosplayers in action.
