Even For Me, a ‘Game of Thrones’ Newbie, I Can’t Wait For Season 4

Finally. The announcement that every follower of the Iron Throne has been waiting for:

Season 4 starts Sunday, April 6th on HBO

I’ll admit…..I’m a little late to the Game of Thrones party. But I’m here now and that’s what matters right??!! I kept hearing about this show and the books and thought “ehh….maybe one day.” My list of shows kept piling up and I knew I had to pick between starting Breaking Bad, Dexter, Game of Thrones, or Homeland. Guess which show won.

As I write this article, I’m currently on season 3, episode 5 and have been burning through the shows nonstop. I LOVE this show and find myself getting less and less sleep at night. Not bad for only being on week 2 of my GOT marathon. I’ve never seen show where I wanted more people to die……slowly. As morbid as that may sound, even that may be too good for some of the vile characters on the show. So far I love the dragons, Daenerys, Jon Snow, the wolves, Osha, and most of all Tyrion Lannister. Like I said, I’m not completely finished with season 3 but I’m thinking by this weekend that will be remedied.

Here’s a little something from Entertainment Weekly:

HBO is also readying the release of Thrones fourth season trailer. The full trailer will be out Sunday night right before the premiere of hot new drama True Detective, but you might not have to wait that long to see at least some of it. That sounds cryptic, but we’ll have details this weekend. The trailer is described as the “first extended look at the new season and features new characters and episodic footage” (and we hear it’s amazing).
