‘The Fly’ – Grey Matter Art

The wildly charismatic Jeff Goldblum created quite the <ahem> – buzz – in the 1986 film The Fly. With a strong performance not only by Goldblum but also co-star Geena Davis, it continues to be one of the quintessential sci-fi/horror films of the ’80s!

While a tiny housefly gave something to Goldblum’s character he’d never forget, the crew at Grey Matter Art are giving The Fly fans something they won’t forget. Timing couldn’t be better either because this year marks the 30th anniversary of the film as well. So take a look below at artist Matt Ryan Tobin’s wonderful creation and remember to “Be afraid, be very afraid.”

Grey Matter Art is excited to announce our new partnership with Acme Archives to offer licensed prints for 20th Century Fox and DreamWorks. To kick-off our partnership, we are proud to announce a new officially licensed, limited edition screen print for the classic 80’s film, “The Fly” by the very talented artist, Matt Ryan Tobin. GMA is thrilled to be working with Matt & Acme Archives to showcase this amazing poster for the film’s 30th anniversary. “The Fly” will be featured as 2 separate editions, a regular and a glow in the dark variant.

We had the pleasure of meeting up with the guys at Grey Matter Art at New York Comic Con last October.  Not only are they hitting it out of the park with their high-end collectible posters, but they are really great guys too. We are big fans and each have several of their posters framed and hanging in the dojo.
