Funko Exclusives – SDCC 2016 – Wave One Reveal

San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2016 is almost upon us. It’s that time of year when Comic-Con announcements are in full swing and the entire nerd world is ready for more, more, MORE. Today, we got one of the biggest reveals of them all.

Our friends at Funko (What’s up Cameron & Yoko?) took to Periscope earlier today to begin revealing the A-Mazing exclusives that fans might be lucky enough to purchase at the Funko booth during SDCC 2016. As Yoko stated during the broadcast, this is the first of several (maybe 8 or 9) reveals that we can look forward to over the upcoming weeks!!

We are so excited to start revealing our 2016 SDCC exclusives!
Between exciting new licenses and completely unique molds, we have a lot of fun surprises in store for all of you!
Here’s our first round of reveals!!

Pop! Movies: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World – Sex Bob-Omb 3-pack

 

Pop! Animation: The Powerpuff Girls – Blossom, Bubbles & Buttercup (First-to-Market)

 

Dorbz Ridez: Wreck-it-Ralph – Vanellope

 

Dorbz: Burton Batman 3-pack – Batman, Catwoman, Penguin

 

Pop! Marvel: Translucent Glitter Green Goblin with Glider

No numbers have been provided, as far as production run, but a close inspection of the stickers makes it look as if these are all “Limited Edition.” In previous years, that meant that several thousand of each was produced and (in some cases) that these figures might also be available via other retailers, like Hot Topic, shortly after SDCC. There is no guarantee that this will be the case again this year.

Also, if you are not familiar with the term “First-to-Market,” that means that these exact figures (without the exclusive sticker) will be available later on. Yoko specifically called out the fact that the Powerpuff Girl Funko Pop! figures WOULD be available in 2017.
