Go Into Battle with Warner Bros. and Legendary’s 300: Rise of an Empire [TRAILER]

I didn’t just watch 300 when it came out back in 2006. I watched it. About 5 times……….including 2 IMAX screenings. So yeah its pretty safe to say I was a huge fan of the film. The gritty action, the symphonic-like fight scenes, the blood, the never-say-die warrior spirit. What’s not to like?

Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures are going to try and recapture that battle-hardened spirit again this March when they unleash 300: Rise of an Empire. Judging by the new extended trailer they just released, it looks like they might not have anything to worry about. Zack Snyder is back for this go-around although only in the writer’s chair instead of acting as both director and writer. The director’s torch has been passed to Noam Murro this time who has some big “Greek sandals” to fill. Other than the obvious intense fight scenes we’re sure to be in for, the stylized cinematography that we all drooled over in the first movie is back in this one as well. Bonus! I have to admit it was a little sad (in a manly way like when your football team loses) seeing the opening of the trailer that pretty much starts with Leonidas’ 300 slain on the ground. You’ll be happy to know that the feeling didn’t last long due to the next scenes that show warriors rushing into battle, ships colliding in a rough sea, explosions, and loads more.
