An OSU Halftime Show Fit for a Superhero

In a recent OSU football game, the Ohio State Buckeyes took on the Nebraska Cornhuskers. While we’re sure the football game was great, we ran across the game’s incredible halftime show that featured the OSU marching band and were blown away! A video popped up thanks to Nerdist that showed the comic book-themed show which was an incredible display of coordination powers and imagination. The show’s overhead narrator even leant a “Ted Knight” feel to the formations going on down on the field.

The very talented marching band showcased part of the Avengers team that included Thor, Captain America, Spider-Man, and the Hulk. They also made sure to bring in some DC comics action too with Batman and Superman getting in on the formations. Thor’s hammer coming down and Iron Man taking off literally had my jaw on the floor! Seeing Spider-Man “swing” from building to building was super cool as well. Icing on the cake? Around 6:39 into the video, the beginning sounds of Hans Zimmer’s energizing Man of Steel score can be heard. Let me just say that goosebumps were felt.

This halftime show is one of the very best I’ve seen. Well done OSU!
