At last: two of the biggest comic book film races (for now) have come to an end which is good news for fans. That means we’re getting closer to seeing these collaborations on the big screen. In the recent hours, Marvel Studios and DC Entertainment announced – in a roundabout way – that Ant-Man and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice have finished production!
Ant-Man director Peyton Reed hit Twitter yesterday evening with the following message:
And that’s it! Principal photography on ANT-MAN is now complete. The ants have left the building. Stay tuned…
A huge sigh of relief could be heard among the interwebs at the release of Reed’s statement. After many obstacles and “departures” for the Phase Two film, we’re really glad everything worked out in the end. Now we just have to wait a little bit until July 17, 2015 to see Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, and Evangeline Lilly hit the big screen.
For the wrap announcement of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (could they make the name any longer?), we can thank the film’s cinematographer – Larry Fong. He used his Instagram account to pose a seconds-long, VERY cryptic, snow drift video clip. You can melt your brain trying to guess what Fong is shooting…OR….just wait until we all get to see Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, and Jesse Eisenberg hit theaters on March 25, 2015.
Okay, we’re going to go back and keep trying to guess what the heck Fong is talking about….
