The original Pete’s Dragon (1977) was a live-action and animated musical film from Walt Disney, much like Mary Poppins.
Fast forward almost 40 years and here we are, with another reboot/re-imagining/retelling. Will the new film be a success? Depending on how this and the new Jungle Book perform at the box office, we may see more and more of these Disney classics getting updated.
