As a Funko POP! funatic, I can tell you that the opportunity to add a 1/96 figure to your collection is far and few between. Unless you are lucky enough to find yourself in the Funko booth at SDCC, you’ll probably have to frequent auction sites (like eBay) or booths at the various cons for your chance to set a Freddy Funko on your display shelf.
I search eBay daily for those little nuggets of awesomeness that I would like to add to my collection and today I stumbled on the motherload. I’m not sure if Funko is cleaning out their closet or some poor soul is being forced to go 40 Year Old Virgin on his collection in order to land the hottie. Whatever is going on, it’s your chance to scoop up one of the 96ers.

This is me being a total Funko noob, but how do you know if you have a 96er? I have a Loki that was an SDCC exclusive last year (I think), but I have no idea how rare he is.
Hey Mandy – In almost every case, limited runs of the Funko Pop!s have a special sticker. As far as I know, all SDCC Exclusives have had a sticker. There are some instances (HotTopic) where exclusives don’t have that sticker, but that is relatively new.
Loki is a hard one to come by and is going for big bucks, but I don’t think it is because it was a SDCC exclusive.
Take a look at the Wreck It Ralph ones too. I don’t know the details, but Ralph is very hard to find and goes for several hundred bucks.
Ah, cool. Thanks. I’ll have to dig out his box and see if there’s a number on it. (I’m not a NIB kind of collector, haha.)
