The U.S.-Mexico drug war has escalated to a whole new level in Sicario 2: Soldado. As the violence escalates, government officials decide to take the leash off of CIA agent Matt Graver and the mercenary-turned-operative Alejandro. Together, they’ll bring a new and bigger fight to the cartels who have now started to traffic terrorists to U.S. soil. As you can imagine, a new type of war waged on the cartels will include lots of gunfire and explosions. This is Sicario after all…
Sicario 2: Soldado features Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro reprising their phenomenal roles from 2015’s Sicario. I personally loved Emily Blunt whose character joined them in the first film but unfortunately she opted out of returning for this outing. Watching the trailer above a few times reminded me of how amazing the first film is – and if you haven’t watched it, then you’re doing it wrong.
