The NerdFu crew was out at Space City Con today and honestly we were caught off-guard by the number of cosplayers we saw at the convention. I entered the con early in the morning and barely made it past the front door before I saw several stormtroopers, Darth Vader, an AWESOME Gamorrean and some Jawas. The 501st Legion was there in “force” (pun intended) and their numbers were growing by the second.
Luckily, I had the camera in hand and I wasn’t about to miss a minute of the action. While I didn’t catch photos of every Star Wars cosplayer, I certainly tried. Here are our 501st Legion photos.

WHAT IS THE 501st LEGION
The 501st Legion is an international fan-based organization dedicated to the construction and wearing of screen-accurate replicas of Imperial Stormtrooper armor, Imperial officer uniforms, Clone Troopers and other villains and nefarious characters from the Star Wars universe. Members of the 501st Legion make appearances at casual, promotional, and charitable events, often at the request of Lucasfilm’s Fan Relations department. Formed by South Carolina residents Albin Johnson and Tom Crews in 1997, the group boasts more than 6000 active members in over 50+ countries as of March 13, 2013. – via wikipedia
