Thor: Ragnarok already has fans chomping on the bit with the want and need to see the MCU’s own Bash Brothers – Thor and Hulk – on the big screen together. But now, there’s even bigger news that has surfaced. The Sorcerer Supreme will join the big guys when the film opens this year on November 3rd!
After thinking about the [SPOILER] end credits scene of Doctor Strange, things started to make sense as it’s now more a reality than just wishful thinking. A short run over to Thor: Ragnarok’s IMDb page and multiple sightings on other sites like Slashfilm and SuperheroHype confirmed the news as well. While there hasn’t been a huge announcement that the Good Doctor is on the roster, we can only assume that some kind of blast will be here soon. The addition of Doctor Strange comes from a post on D23’s site where the focus is on “Disney Things We’re Most Excited For In 2017”. In the December 28th post, there’s mention of Thor: Ragnarok and it’s heroes:
If you need even more intergalactic, world-saving action, Thor: Ragnarok in November brings together Thor, the Hulk, and Doctor Strange to face off against intergalactic baddies both familiar and new.
Referencing that end credit scene from Doctor Strange, not to mention one production shot in particular from the Ragnarok set below, makes us wonder if he’ll play an even bigger part in this than fans may have expected. Time will tell.
