Well look what just hit the internet. No explanation needed here folks, just another amazing film from Marvel in what is quickly turning into the most exciting comic book movie year EVER. One note – this is the UK version, as Marvel’s US YouTube page doesn’t seem to have the preview posted yet.
Storyline
Thor battles an ancient race of Dark Elves led by the vengeful Malekith who threatens to plunge the universe back into darkness after the events of The Avengers.

Ok, now I can’t wait for this film!
I’ll still see it, as I am a 30-something caucasian male and thus powerless against comic books films, but the trouble these sequels will always have is capturing the same feeling as the original. We love new, we love the origin story, and once we have it the character already begins to get stale. At least Thor broke that mold a little from the other hero genesis movies, but he takes a backseat to Iron Man for me. The big question mark here is Alan Taylor, taking over for Branagh (who did a great job with the look of the first Thor). Who the hell is Alan Taylor?
You said it. Iron Man 2 didn’t live up to the quality of the first, but I have high hopes for Iron Man 3. Maybe a change in director is what Tony Stark needed.
I was kinda bummed that Branagh didn’t return, but maybe Taylor will surprise us.
Iron Man 2 “suffered” from no longer being a genesis story and a villain that was so-so. I still liked it. IM 3 should be much better with Mandarin (played by Kingsley.) Both villain and actor are awesome.
As far as Thor 2, was never the biggest Thor fan but a new Marvel movie AND dark elves? Man, you just put your chocolate in my peanut butter.
