If you thought it was safe to go back to the pizza parlor, think again. The widely popular video game Five Nights at Freddy’s has gotten picked up by Blumhouse who will bring the animatronic terror to the big screen. In a recent Instagram post by Blumhouse, the production studio will look to celebrated director, writer and producer Chris Columbus to handle those exact duties – which is promising.
According to Deadline, Blumhouse got the property rights due to winning Scott Cawthon’s (the game’s creator) allegiance. With six different games and multiple books, Columbus will have plenty of places to pull ideas from.
