Not even a week had passed since the Breaking Bad series finale and Dallas Comic Con FanDays attendees were treated to a panel featuring two of the shows most memorable characters.
Giancarlo Esposito (Gustavo ‘Gus’ Fring) and Charles Baker (Skinny Pete) were on hand to talk about their days on Breaking Bad and current projects they are working on. We were there to capture some photos of the two on stage, so all of you who couldn’t make it to the show could enjoy what we saw.

FAVORITE MOMENTS FROM THE BREAKING BAD PANEL
There were some great moments on stage during the panel. Here were a few of my favorites.
- Giancarlo Esposito agreed to a smaller role in Season 2 but wouldn’t return unless he could be in all of Season 3. He held out and eventually made it into 11 of the 13 episodes that season. I for one am thankful he held out and had such a major role in the show.
- Charles Baker was originally cast for just one episode, but was asked back to reprise his role as “Skinny Dealer.” It wasn’t until he read the script that he found out his name would be “Skinny Pete” on the show. He said that was when he knew he was “part of the family.”
- In the episode Hazard Pay (Season 5 Episode 3) – Skinny Pete plays the piano at a music store. That is actually Charles Baker playing the piano. He was a musician first and turned to acting to help with his career.
- (SPOILER ALERT) Giancarlo Esposito helped decide Gus Fring’s fate on the show. He didn’t think a character like Gus would simply get shot and helped devise the amazing sequence that ended his character.
WHERE ARE THEY NOW
Giancarlo Esposito is currently on Revolution and will soon appear alongside Ron Perlman (another FanDays guest) in Poker Night.
Charles Baker is currently on The Blacklist (with James Spader) and is working on another TV series Murder in the First with Tom Felton (also a FanDays guest).
Big fan of Giancarlo Esposito!
