Ron Perlman has had an amazing career and, as he pointed out himself at Dallas Comic Con Fan Days, has played memorable character after memorable character on both TV and the big screen. Hellboy, Clay Morrow (Sons of Anarchy), Slade (voice on Teen Titans), Reinhardt (Blade II), Johner (Alien: Resurrection), Vincent (Beauty and the Beast) …. The list goes on and on and on.
So, its no wonder that Mr. Perlman could carry his own panel at Dallas Fan Days and fill the main room with fans of his storied career. Ron spoke about a variety of topics and answered many questions from audience members before heading off to sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans. We were there to capture our favorite moments and some photos for you to enjoy.

FAVORITE MOMENTS FROM THE RON PERLMAN PANEL
Ron may seem like a gruff guy, but he was actually very funny and one of the most interesting guests at the show. Here are a few highlights from his panel.
- At the beginning of the panel, he dropped an f-bomb and then apologized to the children in the crowd. He even offered up $100 to a kid who cried about the same time he first let it slip. At the end of the show he really gave the money to the child’s parent.
- On Beauty and the Beast, when they first started filming, he spoke very quietly as Vincent. The sound guy came over and said “Mr. Perlman, can you give me a little more – I can barely hear you.” Ron simply said “no.” The sound guy was the only original crew member who made it all the way to the end of the series. He figured out how to record Ron’s voice, even when Ron couldn’t hear himself talk.
- You know that scene in Alien: Resurrection, when Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) throws the basketball over her head from across the gym and nails the shot. Ron said she nailed that in the very first take. There were no special effects or trickery. He said he almost ruined the shot when he responded to her making it on camera, but luckily was just enough off-frame.
WHERE IS HE NOW
Ron Perlman can be seen currently as Clay Morrow on the AMAZING show Sons of Anarchy (FX – Tuesdays). He’s also wrapping up some other projects for 2013, including The Virginian, Kid Cannabis, Poker Night and 13 Sins. Get all the details here on IMDB.
Now, if we can only convince Guillermo del Toro and the studios to make Hellboy 3! Ron says he’s on board and would love to wrap up the story of Hellboy.
