Dallas Comic Con Fan Days 2013 – Battlestar Galactica Panel

Battlestar Galactica ended in March of 2009, but don’t think for a second that ending the series would end the passion that fans have for the show.  It would be nearly impossible to find a larger convention in the US or Canada that doesn’t have at least one of the amazing cast members on hand for autographs, panels and photo ops.

Dallas Comic Con Fan Days brought us two of the biggest stars of the show – Katee Sackhoff (Kara “Starbuck” Thrace) and Jamie Bamber (Lee “Apollo” Adama).

Not only do they seem to be two of the nicest people ever (I had a chance to meet them both in the autograph area) but they are also two of the most attractive people I have ever met in person.  Katee’s smile (as you can see in the images below) is as beautiful and bold as she is and she is constantly smiling.

FAVORITE MOMENTS FROM THE BSG PANEL

Katee and Jamie were so much fun and ran their entire panel without a moderator.  Here are a few of the highlights:

• They started things off with a little “football” smack talk.  Turns out Jamie is a soccer fan AND a Dallas Cowboys fan.
• Jamie has NOT watched the show since they originally filmed it.  He is saving the entire series for when his kids get older, so they can all watch it together.
• Katee shared a story about asking her dad permission to do a nude scene in Riddick.  Apparently she told him that it would just be a “2-3 second push in” which caught Jamie off-guard.  He said if his daughter ever came to him with that info he’d ask “who are you dating?”
• Katee also shared a moment from the beginning of her BSG days.  Apparently they had her cut her hair short for the series just as she went into boot camp to prepare for the show.  She spent one of her first nights in the bathroom crying because of it.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW

Katee Sackhoff can be seen currently in the TV show Longmire and at theaters in Riddick. It looks like she is also starring alongside Doctor Who alum Karen Gillan in a horror movie called Oculus.

Jamie Bamber is currently on the show Monday Mornings (although I heard this was canceled) and can soon be seen in Before I Sleep (out October 19th) with Tom Sizemore.
