That big Mouse has his hands in a lot these days. From acquiring movie studios, certain franchise rights, new additions to his theme parks, etc. Unfortunately for Disney’s game division, Disney Interactive, they have pretty much always struggled to make a substantial foothold in game market. That could very well change for them soon….
One of the more recent labors of love that did come out however, was Disney Infinity. In a nutshell, the game uses collectible figures and discs to immerse the player in the characters world’s. Available figures have included characters from Cars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Monsters Inc, and more. A few days ago Disney teased the above trailer via a link to Marvel! Yes, you read that correctly. It looks like Marvel will be visiting new upcoming version of the game called ‘Infinity 2.0′ (though they may change the name). Not much is being said right now in terms of which characters will be brought in or when the release date will be but one thing is for sure: the collectible figures will be nothing short of spectacular.
Disney did give the following tagline (which may indicate some potential Marvel alumni) –
“GET READY TO ASSEMBLE.”
