The binge watching power of Marvel/Netflix’s Daredevil is something that other shows envy. For good reason – you have a dynamic story, gritty grade-A fight scenes and intriguing, loveable (or love to hate) characters who are brought to life to incredible actors. One of these actors is Elden Henson. Here’s an actor who made a name for himself when he was younger and is doing the same again as an actor who’s got the chops to help carry big and small screen films and shows.
We attended Henson’s panel at Emerald City Comicon and were delighted to find out that our favorite young hockey player-turned-lawyer is as humble and down to earth as ever! Though the days of being a “Bash Brother” in The Mighty Ducks are long behind him, he did talk a little bit about it but spent more time discussing being a part of Daredevil as Matt Murdock’s friend and partner – Foggy Nelson.

Moderator Clare Kramer: “How did you get the part of Foggy?” Elden Henson: “I didn’t know what I was auditioning for. I was actually in Germany and I got a call from my manager who asked me to make a tape for the audition. I did the audition on Skype using my phone!”
CK: “What do you do to prepare for the show?” EH: “Uhhh…nothing really (he laughs). Here’s the thing – our writers are really talented and they understand way more about the show. I just really try my best not to mess it up. It’s just one of those things that…….I really still can’t believe I’m on the show. I trust them – the writers – completely and just try to stay out of it.”
Fan question: “What part of the MCU would you like Foggy to be a part of?” EH: “Oh man….uhhh….even though there would be no reason for it to happen…..I’d love Foggy to appear with the Guardians of the Galaxy!”
CK: “Can we expect to see Foggy in other shows in Marvel/Netflix world? We got a little tease at the end of season 2.” EH: “Well….I mean I don’t know. There was that scene where I was interviewing for another law firm..(the fans cheer). Being in that scene with Carrie-Anne Moss who’s an icon was just awesome! That’s the cool thing about being on this show – there’s a chance to be on other shows.”
CK: “Can you talk a little about The Mighty Ducks?” EH: “They’ll always be near and dear to my heart. It was pretty cool because my brother was in all three movies.”
CK: “What’s the first job you remember?” EH: “I told my mom I either wanted to be an artist or a cab driver.”
***Midway through Elden Henson’s panel, he gets a phone call from Jon Bernthal***
Henson: “Hello? Oh hey Jon what’s up? I’m actually doing my panel right now. Here…I’m going to put you on speakerphone. Say ‘hi’.” Bernthal: “Hey what’s up everybody?!”
(The crowd goes crazy and yells “Hi / Hey”)
Henson: “So what’s up man?” Bernthal: “Nothing man just wanted to see if you wanted to kick it later.” Henson: “Yeah buddy that sounds good. I’ll see you in a little while.”
