For years, Steve and I have talked about traveling out of our comfort zone to attend other cons in the U.S. and one convention always came to mind first – Emerald City Comicon. Now, finally, we are making this dream come true. Emerald City Comicon (ECCC) is THIS weekend in Seattle and the Nerd Fu crew will be there.
We’ll be covering the event all weekend long and sharing live to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and (of course) here to the blog. Whether you are at home in your PJs or at the con with us, you can follow along as we hit up the show, the panels and (of course) the cosplay live from the show.
ABOUT EMERALD CITY COMICON
ECCC is the premier comic book and pop culture convention in the Pacific Northwest! Held at Washington State Convention Center in Seattle Washington, the convention will run Friday, March 27th thru Sunday, March 29th.
According to data collected in 2013, ECCC is the 3rd largest convention in the United States (just behind SDCC and New York Comic Con).
WHAT WILL WE SEE AT ECCC?
News and reveals have been steady for months now and it looks like the show has just about solidified. We’re looking forward so many things, including:
Celebrity Guests – Stan Lee, John Barrowman, Haley Attwell, Julie Benz, Charisma Carpenter, Clark Gregg, Orlando Jones, Anthony Mackie, Brandon Routh, John Wesley Shipp, Jewel Staite, Amanda Tapping, Gina Torres, Patrick Warburton, Scott Wilson, Steven Yeun & more.
Special Guests – J. Scott Campbell, Ivy Doomkitty, Kevin Eastman, Matthew Inman (the Oatmeal), Mike Mignola & a ton of artists,cosplayers, writers and novelists will be in attendance.
Exhibitors – Image Comics, Tee Turtle, Loot Crate, Boom! Studios, CGC, Espionage Cosmetics, GameStop, Jason Palmer Studios and more. There are HUNDREDS of exhibitors scheduled for this weekend.
Gaming – tabletop gaming, pinball and arcade games, Dungeons and Dragons and even a Artemis Spaceship Bridge Simulator will all be available for con-goers.
Special Events – ECCC Drink & Draw, ECC Cinema Series, charity art auction and a costume contest themed “Jailbreak” are happening throughout the weekend.

We’re excited to attend ECCC and our goal through the weekend will be to bring you the action We’ll be taking pictures, attending panels, tweeting, sharing to Facebook and trying to capture every awesome thing that happens. We’ll be your eyes and ears on the ground.
