#NerdsUnite for Extra Life

Something very special is on the horizon and it’s time for us to officially reveal plans for our first big charity event.  November 7th – Steve, Sully and some close friends of Nerd Fu will be participating in Extra Life 2015, a 24-hour gaming marathon to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

We’ve wanted to participate in something like this since the day we started Nerd Fu and we are finally in a place where we can contribute our time and money to really make an impact.  Now, we call on you, our friends & family to help us make a difference by coming together as a community for this amazing event.

NERDS UNITE FOR EXTRA LIFE

Here’s the deal! On November 7th, at 11:00am CST, we’re going to begin our 24-hour gaming session stream on Twitch.  We’ve got a team of about 8 guys and our team is the Fu Tang Clan!  We’ll play games, have some fun, give out some prizes, interact with people who are following along and (most importantly) raise some money for this awesome charity.

Our goal this year is $2,000 and we are well on our way, with donations already rolling in!

EXTRA LIFE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

There aren’t any “rules” dictating what we do or how we participate, but we’ve decided to push for the full 24 hours and try to break things up with a variety of games that will make this fun for everyone.  We’ve pulled together a schedule of some of our favorite games, shown below.  And there is a GOOD chance we’ll go up against another Extra Life team for some friendly competition while playing Rocket League and Halo 5!

HOW CAN YOU HELP THE FU TANG CLAN

Nerds Unite!!!  We need you, our friends and family, to help us out and we’ve come up with a few ways you can:
