FREE Comic Book Day 2016 – May 7th

It sounds too good to be true, but this is legit! FREE Comic Book Day is celebrating 15 Years of handing out FREE comic books to fans and it seems like they add to the fun every year. We’ve been going for the last 3 years and wouldn’t think of missing the big day.

As the name implies, FREE Comic Book Day is a single day when participating comic book specialty shops across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely free to anyone who comes into their shops. Different shops have policies on how many free comics you can receive, but you will receive at least one free comic if you enter a participating shop location. Personally, I have walked out with stacks of comics over the last few years.

FREE COMIC BOOK DAY 2016 DETAILS

When: Saturday, May 7, 2016

Where: Your local comic book store.  See what stores are participating using the Store Locator tool.

Pro Tips: FCBD is a big deal for a lot of folks. The number of fans interested grows every year, so you might consider the following.

• Find a local comic shop that is participating early. Store locator tool link above.
• Contact your local comic shop(s). Find out when they open, what their FCBD policies are.
• Follow Free Comic Book Day on their social channels for updates, info & giveaways : Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
• Get to your comic shop EARLY! There will probably be a line.
• Have fun!

 

FUNKO GETS IN ON FREE COMIC BOOK DAY 2016

In addition to all of the comic book fun happening on FCBD, Funko has revealed that two new Dorbz exclusives will be available.

Free Comic Book Day is this Saturday – look for Unmasked Tony Stark & Steve Rogers Civil War Dorbz exclusive to this event!!

As far as which stores will carry these exclusive Dorbz, Funko had this to say:

We recommend contacting your local store to find out if they will have the Dorbz in stock. Each store will have their own method of distributing these special Dorbz!
