Rockstar Games announced today that Grand Theft Auto 5, which is set to release November 18th on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC, will feature a first-person mode. This is a nice addition to the series, a feature that has yet to be included in any another previous GTA games. The user will have the option to switch between first-person and third-person by the push of a single button. Rockstar has also released a three minute clip of what it is like to play GTA 5 in first-person.
This first-person feature will ONLY be available on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC versions of the game, as the Xbox 360 and PS3 lack the resources to do so.
In an interview with IGN, Rockstar also stated,
Grand Theft Auto V for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC features hundreds of additions and enhancements including 1080p resolution at 30fps on PS4 and Xbox One.
The PC version of the game will also support 4K resolution.
I’ve already played this game for the 360 but adding the first-person perspective add-on is enough for me to shell out the price to buy the game again. This will definitely make for much improved online play.
Grand Theft Auto V will release November 18th for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
