Martin Lawrence Confirms ‘Bad Boys 3’ Script Development

“Bad Boys Bad Boys…Whatcha gonna do……….whatch gonna do when they come for you!”

Ahhhh the Bad Boys (potential) franchise. For quite some time now, we’ve read and heard the numerous articles and soundbites from some the key factors behind the scenes – some saying “yes a third film is on the way!” Others saying “it’s nowhere in the near future.” Then there are the stars themselves: “Martin Lawrence and Will Smith excited and ready to do the third film” to “Lawrence says ‘yes’ and Smith says ‘no’. It’s this latter issue that has sadly and recently plagued the life of Bad Boys 3. Smith has been on and off again with wanting to do the movie. We’ve even read that folks would go so far as to say that they’d consider doing the film “without Smith”. Whoa. Possible? Now it seems as if BB3 is being revived. Which is music to our ears…….for now. We’re huge fans of the two films and we’d love to see a third. Done right, that is. Martin Lawrence sat down with Conan O’Brien Wednesday and talked a little about staying in shape, belly love, and yup – Bad Boys 3! When Conan asked if we’d see a Bad Boys 3, here’s what Lawrence said:

“I believe so, yes. I just talked to Jerry Bruckheimer yesterday and he said it’s real; they’re working on the script, they’re getting close, and it all looks good.”

Now if it does (fingers crossed) move forward, what could we expect? Do the boys make it out of Miami maybe? Are they relocated from paradise to the grittier streets of LA, New York, Chicago? Or do we get led overseas for some international action? Are they still close? And speaking of friendship, do we want to see a Bad Boys film without Will Smith since he seems to be maybe the only wrench in this plan? Let us know what you think in the comments!
