Apparently finding a director has been no “small” feat for Marvel’s Ant-Man. With people passing on the Phase Three project left and right, we were actually beginning to get really worried that this may not even happen after all. Though we may never fully get over Edgar Wright’s departure (for creative differences), at least the film is moving forward. Collider had this report:
The search is over for Ant-Man’s replacement director as Marvel confirms Peyton Reed as the new helmer. In a bit of a surprising twist, Adam McKay will board the picture in a screenwriting capacity and will make contributions to the script…….McKay was originally sought to replace [Edgar] Wright but turned down the offer fairly quickly, however, he must have shared a few notes with the studio to earn mention as a screenwriter.
