Ahh the family vacation. So many delights and memories just waiting to be had. For most. For the Griswolds however, that’s always seemed a little tougher. Maybe that’ll change with the newest installment of Griswold family films titled simply enough – Vacation. The red band trailer for the film was just released and at first watch, I have to admit it looks pretty funny. Although the previous installments are widely held as cult comedy classics, with the Vegas story maybe being the exception, this Ed Helms (playing Rusty) and Christina Applegate (playing his wife Debbie) addition may wind up turning some heads. Vacation features a handful of new quirky moments and some familiar nods. The saving grace for those on the fence might be the fact that Chevy Chase and Beverly D”Angelo are returning to their roles. Not to mention the gratuitous shots of Chris Hemsworth (yup, Thor himself) gracing the trailer with his Asgardian shirtless body.
