Paramount Pictures’ Haunted House Prank

So there’s movie coming out tomorrow called Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension. It’s what some would call scary. Other’s may call it dumb. But the one thing you can for sure call smart is Paramount Pictures‘ marketing shtick. To help promote the new film coming out, they pulled off what may in fact be the greatest haunted house prank ever.

The illusion was pretty ingenious., but with a dark sense of humor. Somehow, they got real to be invited to an open house, an open house like you would go to in order to purchase the home. What they didn’t realize was that the house they were walking in to see was…..the original Paranormal Activity house. Cue bowel movement.

Just watch the above video and you can see how this very real, very possible haunted house prank would cause the displayed reactions from unknowing folk. Bravo (maybe?) to Paramount Pictures for their marketing efforts and a big sigh relief that no one got hurt.

We think. Not sure how that real estate agent fared after letting those people in on the haunted house prank…
