RTX, the three-day event where gaming meets the Internet, is THIS WEEKEND in Austin and the NerdFu team (Steve & Sully) will be there to cover it.
We posted a press release about RTX 2013 a few weeks ago, but tickets were sold out by the time that article hit the interwebs. So, even though we know you were interested in attending, you’re out of luck… or are you? Read on for a description of what’s going on at RTX and how you can still enjoy the show.
What is RTX
RTX is the brainchild of the great minds at Rooster Teeth, the team behind the longest running web series of all time, Red vs. Blue. Rooster Teeth created RTX to bring the Rooster Teeth community, game companies, gamers, online content creators and online video lovers from around the world together for one great weekend. This will be the third annual RTX convention where attendees will have the opportunity to play games, interact with one another and sit in on panels led by industry experts including the Rooster Teeth team.
Who/What will be at RTX
Dozens of vendors will be on site, game companies will be there in person and fans will be there to soak it all in, but what are the big events, the highlights? A ton of information has been released and we’ve picked out a few that caught our eye.
343 Industries – if you’re a gamer, you know the name. They have been responsible for bringing us all the Halo games since Waypoint back in 2009
Red vs. Blue – as mentioned above, Rooster Teeth is behind Red vs. Blue, but many of the voice actors that bring the series to life will actually be on hand this weekend at the event.
Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Multiplayer – yeah, you read that correctly. RTX will have an exclusive preview on the massive Center Stage AND the game will also be playable for all attendees throughout the weekend.
RWBY – The very first episode of the new anime-style web-series by Rooster Teeth Productions’ animation studio will premiere on 7-5, during RTX.
Exhibitors – There are so many Sponsors and Exhibitors that we couldn’t possibly name them all. Just take a look for yourself on RTX’s Exhibitors Page
More, more and more – don’t take our word for it. This video sums it up nicely
Don’t Miss the Action
Sure, tickets are sold out, but there’s no reason you can’t enjoy what RTX has to offer from the comfort of your home.
RTX will be live streaming the Center Stage events, so nobody will miss the action – RTX LIVE
NerdFu will be covering the event. We’ll bring you live tweets, Facebook posts and even some Instagram photos throughout the weekend. Plus, after the event, we’ll bring you even more here on our website, so be sure to check back this weekend!
Twitter is another great place to catch the action. Everyone will be sharing news, photos, videos and more with the hashtag #RTX2013.
