Sin City: A Dame to Kill For – Texas Premiere [PHOTOS]

Austin, Texas – August 20, 2014

Paramount Theatre

Fans & press were treated to the Texas Premiere of Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (Sin City 2) presented by the Austin Film Society.  Director Robert Rodriguez, Steven Tyler, composer Carl Thiel & several stars of the film were on hand for a red carpet entrance, the film and an after party held at Rattle Inn.

Unfortunately, Frank Miller (who was originally scheduled to appear) missed his flight and did not attend.

ROBERT RODRIGUEZ INTRODUCES THE FILM

Robert Rodriguez spent a few minute on stage to provide a little background on the original Sin City, why the film wasn’t really ready to go until there was an Austin premiere and why Steven Tyler was in attendance.

While filming one of the Jessica Alba dance sequences, Rodriguez made up a song for her to dance to and thought it sounded like something Steven Tyler would sing, so he contacted Tyler.  It wasn’t long before Rodriguez and Tyler were recording the title track “Skin City” from Tyler’s home.

ODD CITY POSTER FOR SIN CITY 2 TEXAS PREMIERE

Odd City was on site with their Paul Shipper Sin City: A Dame to Kill For poster, made exclusively for the Austin Film Society premiere of the film.    The 18×24 poster was available before the show & a few lucky attendees were able to pick up on copies autographed by Robert Rodriguez & Steven Tyler after the movie.

The photo really does not do this amazing artwork justice. You should see it in person!
