Hold on nerds. Give us a minute. We know what you’re thinking:
“Why the hell is there WWE talk on one of the BEST Nerd/Geek sites around?”
And that’s a valid question. The truth of the matter is that we’re mentioning because it’s pretty freaking cool! While we aren’t wrestling fans by ANY means….and I mean ANY means, that doesn’t mean we ignore cool stuff when we see it. The heck with our wheelhouse! So Stephen Amell, or The Arrow as we like to call him, has gotten a lot of attention very recently. But not in regards to his kickass CW show. No no no. He’s getting talked about in regards to his WWE career!
And in case you watched the video above and aren’t really sure what’s going on, we’ve got this recap for you:
So long story short, Stephen Amell is a big wrestling fan (yeah we didn’t know that either ) and attends some matches and has even said he’s wanted to host and/or wrestle. As I mentioned before, we’re not really fans of the wrestling world but more power to those who are. Anyway, Amell goes to this match and apparently there’s been beef between him and that KISS-reject looking guy Stardust. So Starburst pushes him in the face and retreats when Stephen “The Freaking Arrow” Amell launches after him with Parkour moves that would impress any of those French free running kids on YouTube and proceeds to pummel him inside the ring. Fans went crazy and then Amell confirmed on camera that he would “sign whatever waivers/forms he needed” to get a legit match with Starlord. And he got it.
So that’s where we’re at kids. We’re huge fans of Stephen Amell and The Arrow and now that he confirms he’ll be getting his “Arrow” on in the ring, the WWE just got two more fans. Temporarily but still fans nonetheless. You have to admit, it’s pretty damn cool that the way he announced in the video above what he’ll be wearing to the match right?!
