Storytime – A Little Art Book by Joey Spiotto

Our goal at Nerd Fu has always been pretty simple. We find & share the latest & greatest in Nerd News & Needs. Movies, television, collectible figures, posters, video games, T-Shirts and more. Along the way, we have made some amazing friends, including artists whose work we just can’t get enough of.

Now, one of our friends has launched a project that we consider both news & need. Joey Spiotto (aka Jo3bot), who we have followed online for years and were lucky enough to meet at Emerald City Comicon earlier this year, has a Kickstarter project that you do NOT want to miss out on.

STORYTIME – A LITTLE ART BOOK

We all know and LOVE the style of those old children’s books with the gold spine. Joey has taken some of his favorite Movies, Music, TV Shows & Video Games (all the same things we love so much) and turned them into covers of children’s books, in that same style. He’s been producing these covers since 2014 and has 125+ designs that he is putting together in a book called Storytime – A Little Art Book.

Storytime – A Little Art Book will be possible IF Joey’s Kickstarter gets funded. Fans everywhere will finally have the chance to collect all of Joey’s covers in one awesome book, just like we’ve been asking him to do for years. Pledges start at just $25 and there are tons of options to help support Joey and his project. And IF he reaches the stretch goal, every copy of the book will be upgraded to a Hardcover edition!

 

WHY KICKSTARTER?

Hey kids. There is a whole section on the official Kickstarter page, but the short answer is – money. Self-publishing a book can get crazy expensive and there is no guarantee that Joey would ever get his money back. If we support him by pre-purchasing the book (pledging to back him on Kickstarter), we make sure that he gets the project completed and doesn’t lose money in the process.
