“Choose life. Choose Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and that someone somewhere cares.”
The words echoed by Ewan McGregor’s character from the 1996 original film have been updated for it’s sequel – T2: Trainspotting. It makes sense. The reunited lads and their world are older now as twenty years have passed. So what have they been up to? This is a question asked by Jonny Lee Miller’s character Sick Boy and from the trailer….it looks like things are altogether the same and different. We can’t wait.
T2: Trainspotting finds all of the four main cast members back together for this sequel which is what we were really hoping would happen when we wrote about it back in September of last year. A big worry was that Miller and Carlyle’s stateside acting schedules would be hard to work around. However, with director Danny Boyle back at the helm, all of the actors wanted to do it. Now it’s a reality with this new trailer which wastes no time pulling you into the Trainspotting-vibe with a familiar audio nod from Underworld’s Born Slippy track and McGregor’s new “choose life” monologue. Combine that with the returning signature camera angles plus what looks like another insane storyline and you can already count us in for opening day.
