The Force is strong with a certain film, as it just keeps simply killing it at the box office. Rightly so though because it is pretty damn good. That being the case, it’s no wonder that we’re continuing to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens everywhere we look. The artwork that has been inspired from the film though is probably our most favorite aspect hands down. We’ve shown you posters before from the likes of our friends over at Mondo, Poster Posse, and Grey Matter Art. While we were in New York recently for NYCC 2015, we ran into Hero Complex Gallery (HCG). We had a chance to talk with several folks from their office at their booth along with some of the artists there. Very nice individuals indeed.
The artwork below is from artist Marko Manev who is quite amazing. We love love LOVE the simplistic nature of these prints! And the fact that Manev used the noir style pretty much knocked it out of the park for me. This is an artist that has been on our radar for some time now. He has some incredible pieces that include properties from Guardians of the Galaxy, Alien, and Star Wars. Trust us when we say that if you haven’t heard of Marko then you’re doing it all wrong. One of my favorite pieces he’s done is his Daredevil regular edition for Grey Matter Art. We can’t wait to see what he has up his talented sleeve next!
