Every time we hear his name mentioned, we think this must be the last big action film from Jackie Chan… and every time we are wrong. He’s indestructible, he’s unstoppable, and he is back for another round of kicking ass and taking names, but this time is different. Jackie Chan is back in The Foreigner.
Many of Jackie’s films have a fun, light tone about them. Of course he is going to get into a crazy amount of fights and take out dozens of bad guys all by himself, but we are typically laughing when this happens. This time around, the tone is dark and gritty. Jackie is a man on a mission and he simply will not take no for an answer. Twitter user James (@Jedi_Donatello) put it perfectly “It’s like Bourne meets Taken + revenge thriller. And everything is better with Jackie Chan!”
