Summer is coming to a close and (in some areas of the country at least) Fall is almost here. That means the return of everything Pumpkin Spice and, much more importantly, the new Fall TV Season! Luckily, it also marks the return of our annual DVR Guide!
You may not know it, but you TV fans have some work to do and you’ve got to get it taken care of ASAP. Your DVR settings from last year simply aren’t going to work and it’s time for some updates. Some of your old shows are out (Castle, Limitless), some shows have moved times and/or channels (Supergirl) and there are 38 NEW shows that you might want to check out.
THE 2016 FALL TV DVR GUIDE
Enter the 2016 Fall TV DVR Guide. We’ve got just the thing to help you through the changes and it’s FREE!
Give your DVR(s) the overhaul it so desperately needs. Get rid of the old, add in the new and make sure you don’t have too many conflicts on those busy TV nights (Sunday is particularly troublesome). We’ve done the research and included every show we could find. Now it’s up to you.
USING THE DVR GUIDE
Our DVR Guide covers prime-time TV for every day of the week, but there are some things to be aware of. Here’s a quick preview/snapshot:
- Broadcast Channels – Traditional channels like NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX & the CW
- Cable Networks – there are too many to list here, but we’ve got you covered with networks like FX, AMC, HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Comedy Central, SyFy, etc.
- Premiere Dates – each show is labeled with it’s premiere date*
- New Shows – a gold bar indicates a new show that you probably don’t have on your DVR yet
- * – Several stations have shows premiering on a special night, then moving to the normal time-slot for the remainder of the season. This is particularly confusing, so pay close attention.

Supernatural is my absolute favorite show, so I’m most looking forward to its new season. I can’t wait to see what will happen after last season’s finale. As for new series premiering, the new Exorcist show looks like it could be interesting. The trend of turning classic horror movies into television shows has done well so far with Bates Motel and Damien, so hopefully The Exorcist doesn’t disappoint.
I can’t wait to see No Tomorrow and Supernatural of course!!

The Walking Dead and Supernatural! I usually prefer to binge watch shows completely, but these two are the ones I make sure to keep up with year after year, and am excited to get into each time!
Flash and Arrow used to be good..now they suck. But that’s pretty much with any show on CBS, NBC, ABC, WB, CW etc. This should still count as my post…it would be nice to win something at least once in my miserable existance.
