Hail to the King, Baby!
The man, the myth, the Legend. The one and only Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead, Army of Darkness, Ash vs Evil Dead, Burn Notice) was a guest at Wizard World New Orleans and I was NOT going to miss him.
Of course he signed autographs and posed for photos (hell – he even photobombed some unsuspecting fans), but it was his panel that I really wanted to see. Bruce is known for his antics and highly “interactive” panels.
BRUCE CAMPBELL – WIZARD WORLD PANEL
Everything I heard was true – Mr. Campbell’s panel was amazing. He wasted no time introducing himself or setting anything up. Hell – everyone knows who he is. He jumped on stage and immediately began talking to fans.
A few early victims had made their way to the microphones to ask questions and were immediately put in their place. “I don’t know who taught you this” said Bruce as he educated the crowd on his plans for the hour. He would be choosing the fans to talk to.
The majority of his panel was reserved for a pseudo-game show focused on the “most interesting person in the room.” Three fans were brought on stage for each round and Bruce asked them questions and taunted them a bit. He then had the room decide which person was the most interesting.
Round 1 featured Edward (see photo below), who was almost a match for Bruce’s mighty wit and swagger. This kid simply did not fear being on stage or taking jabs at his elder. They went back and forth for a while and Edward eventually won the round with some sweet dance moves.
Overall, I have to say that this was one of my all-time favorite panels. I will NOT pass up on the opportunity to see Bruce in action again.
Enjoy the photos below. Click on each to bring up a larger version. Feel free to share, but please give credit.

MORE BRUCE CAMPBELL, MORE WIZARD WORLD
Want to see some clips from this panel and more? The new ConTV has some clips up from the weekend that are FREE to watch.
We have no affiliation with the service, but their name was plastered all over the convention and I know a few of our followers were watching the panel live. Check it out and let us know what you think.
