With more mutants than you shake a stick at, Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past is already slated to be one heck of a blockbuster. Now, that being said, eyes are (and have been) already looking past DOFP to the Singer’s next project – X-Men: Apocalypse. The director teased the newer film in December via Twitter and fanboys everywhere had to breathe into brown paper bags. Us included.
Singer will be behind the producer’s wheel of Apocalypse. He also summoned X2 writers Dan Harris and Michael Dougherty for the script, as well as DOFP writer Simon Kinberg. We sure it won’t be too long until he announces if he’ll direct the film as well. Singer talked to EW and here’s his cryptic and very loose plot hint:
“It will also address historical mutant-cy, meaning the deep past, mutant origins and things like that. It’s something that’s always intrigued me when we think about our Gods and our history and miracles and powers.”
– Director Bryan Singer to Entertainment Weekly
One can only wonder: after last year’s EPIC cast roll-call out on stage at SDCC, could we see something this year? Hmmm……
I wish I could go to San Diego Comic Con. It would be a dream come true.
