X-Men: Apocalypse – Super Bowl Commercial

We were already treated to a X-Men: Apocalypse trailer back in December, but it looks like Bryan Singer and his team aren’t pulling any punches.  They released a new trailer during Super Bowl 50 that includes a ton of new footage.  This trailer focuses a lot more on Magneto and gives us our first really good look at Psylocke (Olivia Munn) in action.

Below the trailer in YouTube, we were also given a new, extended synopsis of the film (below).

X-Men: Apocalypse

Starring: Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters, Olivia Munn …

Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

  1. It looks like this might be the best X-Men movie to date. Its combining a few story lines from the comics into one. I would’ve liked an Apocalypse story line to be a few films but Fox might not want to risk it. Maybe they will but the more I see of this film the better and better it gets.
